Deluxe CPR CS50 Siphon Overflow Box 300 GPH & Aqua Lifter Pump w/ Lid
A built in overflow is the most efficient method of draining aquarium water to a filter. If your aquarium does not have built-in overflow, CPR Continuous Siphon Overflows/Prefilters are the best means for getting water from an aquarium to a filter system without expensive modifications to the tank. They quietly skim up to six times more water than units with tubes.
Features and specifications of CS50 Overflow Box:
- For glass or acrylic aquariums up to 60 gal.
- Flow rate 300 GPH.
- 6.5" wide
- 3/4" bulkhead outflow
The advantages of CPR Continuous Siphon Overflows/Prefilters include:
- Adjustable water level allows you to easily change the level in your tank.
- Black top reduces algae growth.
- Quiet operation.
Tip: We recommend the use of an Aqua Lifter pump (included) with the CPR overflows for trouble free operation. Another alternative is to hook the bleed hose from the overflow to the air intake of a power head. This way the overflow will continue to wok if it draws some air into it or in the event of a power failure it will restart.

This is my first overflow and I don't think I'll ever use another brand. It's not perfect but I'm just being picky here. It works really well on my 15 gallon nano reef. After about an hour of adjusting hight, tilt, and the breather tube depth the overflow is completely silent. The only concern I have is that food gets trapped in the bend before the water runs into the back chamber. This could just be because I only run it at half it's rated capacity, it's is only a 15 gallon after all. The price on Fragtastic Reef couldn't be beat either. I would definitely recommend this overflow.
