Reef Octopus Classic 1000 Hang on Back Skimmer (BH1000)

The Classic 1000 is a unique design Hang on Back HOB skimmer in that the pump is mounted external and under the actual skimmer body allowing for much less room needed behind the aquarium. Also by placing the pump on the BH1000 outside the skimmer and the aquarium there is no heat exchanged to the water. This design also allows for easy removal of the pump for cleaning and maintenance. The Reef Octopus skimmers are powered by the Aquatrance skimmer pumps. They are built with high quality acrylic. The Octopus skimmers uses metric plumbing parts. The pump has an improved venturi design and pinwheel impeller.

    Very easy to setup.... instructions suck but a simple YouTube search and setup was a piece of cake. Extremely quiet, began skimming in less than 24 hours.
