Biopellets will consume nitrate and low amounts of phosphate and are best to use inside a biopellet reactor. You always want to keep the bio pellets in motion inside a reactor or chamber to maintain performance. Also is recommended to have a quality protein skimmer when using biopellets to ensure the excess bacteria is removed, and to run the biopellet reactor before your skimmer in your sump.
